Video Education
Course Description
The Video Production course explores video as a medium for artistic expression. The class concentrates on the process of creating, presenting, collaborating, and analyzing video creations. Students are introduced to the concepts and technical skills associated with the video production process; editing, composition, storyboarding, the art of storytelling, and stop-motion. A core aspect of this class is participating in sharing and critiquing each other’s work.
Strategies for the use of video as an art-making tool will be explored through group and individual projects, screenings, and discussions. All of which culminates in a student-directed project. Students are encouraged to think critically and creatively, to explore and experiment, and most importantly, to find their own voice.
